The mirena IUD and the paraguard IUD both gave me chronic bacterial vaginosis every month for two years each. I tried both IUD’s and they both gave me chronic bacterial vaginosis monthly. I was on antibiotics every month for years because of this. The antibiotics destroyed my gut health. My doctor told me it was safe to take antibiotics monthly for years. I trusted her, but later I found out she was very wrong and misinformed about the safety of IUD’s, bacterial vaginosis and long term use of antibiotics.
