I’ve had the copper iud for almost 3 years and just recently found out I’m almost 9 weeks pregnant (third pregnancy). The iud is behind the baby so doctors are unable to remove it. I don’t have any bleeding and so far myself and baby look healthy. I was told the risks (miscarriage, infection, ext). I wasn’t encouraged to terminate but it was made VERY clear that it was an option. I’m unsure if I should continue the pregnancy out of fear of sepsis. Is there any moms who have had healthy babies with a related story?
