I got the Copper IUD and I removed it myself 2 months later. I felt the strings hanging out of my vagina and sex was extremely painful. I bled for 4 months after it was removed. Blood clots like a heavy period. I had no insurance at the time. I became anemic and sick, I kept passing out. Anytime we attempted sex I’d bleed more. It’s been a year since I had it in, and I have been wanting a child but can’t concieve, depesite the doctors saying everything is normal.
