So, Sunday night I came to the ER with what I thought was a pinched nerve or strained muscle, the nurses took one look at me and immediately jumped into action, they took me straight to the back and one nurse was admitting me while another nurse was hooking me up to an EKG, this was my first indication something was BAD wrong, within minutes I was getting a CT scan and an ultrasound on my leg. My left leg was full of clots. I am overall healthy, young, and a healthy weight for my height. There is no reasonable explanation for me to have such severe clotting. During my stay I have had a cardiologist, a hematologist, and about 3 other specialist. They all say this was caused by the birth control I was put on in July (nuvaring). BIRTH CONTROL! Ladies! Please be so careful taking this medication and DO NOT ignore those strange pains! DO NOT WAIT to get checked or looked at! THANK YOU to all my friends and family who have checked in on me while I’m here! And keep those prayers coming! I have felt each and every one of them! God has blessed me with such an amazing family, friends, and work family
