I had a hormonal iud to “help” me with my endometriosis. Tiffany’s Story.

One day I had this explosion feeling in my abdomen area and took myself to the emerge. Thank God the doctor Was willing to remove my IUD! He asked if he saw the Cora during my pelvic inspection would I like to have it pulled out and I said absolutely! He told me he has a family practice and he sees this often.

I had a hormonal iud to “help” me with my endometriosis.

My doctor told me she would not allow me to have my uterus removed until I tried this method first. I have had one child in my life and no other pregnancies so birth-control was not an issue for me. I will start with saying I had it inserted during an operation to help remove polyps in my uterus. I went from August until March with it in and I didn’t stop bleeding the entire time. I would have what seemed like menstrual cycles that lasted a week that were much heavier than the regular bleeding that I was having daily.

I started to have this pain immediately from waking up from my operation which felt oddly like a fishing hook caught in my belly button and a cord being pulled under my skin. I complain to my doctor about it and she said it had nothing to do with my IUD. I started to experience headaches which were never a common thing for me before.

I also started to feel like I was literally going mentally insane!

I have no other health issues or mental health issues and I cannot stress enough that I would cry daily and debated many times checking into a psych ward!

My feet started to cramp nonstop and I am in impeccable shape as I used to be a bodybuilder and professional athlete. I had upped my magnesium intake thinking that it would help and it didn’t! I started to have pain throughout my entire body.

Quite literally after it was removed my pains went away! I’m now going onto week two of it being out and only dealing with bleeding as I assume my uterus is now on the mend and trying to get back into a normal cycle.

I also have a friend who had an IUD and now has been diagnosed with fibromyalgia that she strongly believes was caused by the IUD.
