I had the copper Paraguard placed in December 2012. In the summer of 2021, I had an ectopic pregnancy which ruptured and I was admitted tot he ER to deal with the aftermath. In the summer of 2022, I went into my OB for removal of my IUD. At that appointment, while attempting to remove it, it broke.
